Affirmations

JUST FOR TODAY

A Regular minimal practice with “The Five Precepts” is reciting them aloud, morning and evening, in a prayer pose (Gasssho). You may either stand or sit in Rock Pose (Seiza). Feel the emotions and higher energetic vibrations behind the words. Enjoy the strength of your voice and allow the power within you, to join with the power of your spoken words.

Multiple repetitions throughout the day reinforce their energy. A deeper connection is formed, which naturally pulls you away from distress and angst. You are forming a relationship with these new codes to assist you in living your life to its fullest. Additionally, reciting them aloud strengthens your energy field, or aura. This is especially helpful before beginning a healing process.

After a few days of morning and evening contemplation, begin writing the precepts by hand. Your arms ar the extension of your heart. Writing allows you to imprint them more deeply into your subconscious. A familiarity begins to develop. When you write them and place in visible areas, your mind is prevented from straying into the negative zone. You are exposing yourself to the development of new possibilities.

Listed below are some of the benefits.

I understand the past and its memories are behind me.
I openly accept the gifts and relevant messages that each precept brings.
Just for today, i am centered in the present moment that holds immense possibilities for me. I attract certain conditions based on the quality of my thoughts. I am encouraging myself to expect more from life.
I keep a clear perspective of who I am.
I do not settle on things just the way they appear to be.
I enthusiastically visualize them as they can be.
I hold successful images in my mind.
My life begins to transform to one of balance and abundance.
I am changing my consciousness and expanding my awareness.
I am synchronized with the flow of the universe.
I am a spiritual warrior in charge of my life.

Walt Whitman’s poem succinctly expresses this:

Oh, While I live, to be the ruler of life, not a slave, to meet life as a powerful conqueror, and nothing exterior to me shall ever take command of me ..
